Kazan temple of all religions. Temple of all religions or ecumenical temple

There are places on Earth that are rumored among the people. People tell each other both reality and fiction. There was one legend about either a sage or an eccentric who erected the Ecumenical Temple with his own hands. This man's name is Ildar KHANOV.

He is a sculptor, a world-class artist. People know him more as a healer and architect of the Ecumenical Temple.

The students of the Faculty of Humanities of the Kazan State Technical University, who underwent practical training in the editorial office of Kazan Stories, tell about the temple: Daria VAKHRUSHEVA and Maria LUKYANOVA.

You can see this amazing building in the village of Staroe Arakchino. A picturesque place, by the way.

Ildar Mansoveevich has long cherished the idea of creating a Temple, since his student days. In 1989, he met Svyatoslav Roerich. The young man told the son of the eminent artist Nicholas Roerich about his dream, met with interest, understanding and approval. A few more meetings they discussed the layout of the project together. Roerich wrote to a like-minded person:

“Dear Ildar, I am glad to meet you. Your art, powerful and beautiful, carries the secret of primordial beauty. May God grant you health and strength in the implementation of the program of the universal temple - the temple of unity of souls. Know, many people listen to you, but they do not hear. But the hour will strike! All the best to you! "

Ildar Khanov and Svyatoslav Roerich

Ildar Khanov began to implement his plans in 1994. I built it at my own expense, helped by friends and just caring people. There was a clear concept: the Ecumenical Temple will be a cultural center.

Ildar Mansoveevich had the opportunity to build a Temple in India - they offered. Refusing such a tempting offer, Khanov chose to do it at home. Not only is he in his native Tatarstan, but also on his native plot of land. In Old Arakchino he was born and raised, his parents still lived here.

Ecumenical temple of Ildar Khanov

Kazan citizens, tourists come every day to look at the amazing creation of Khanov. Many take pictures to show them to friends later.

When you look at the Temple, which amazes with its architectural uniqueness and ideological message, you are amazed: how many hours a day should the construction go on? It is also surprising that teams of professional builders do not walk around the building, cranes do not drive around, hammers do not knock.

Who is building? As it turned out, Khanov and his assistants with their own hands. Without receiving either a salary on a plastic card, or pension contributions, people simply come and do the work they can. They help with building materials, means, who can do what they can. For such a fickle source of funding (the government does not allocate money), the Temple is being built surprisingly quickly.

A Catholic tower, an Orthodox, Buddhist, minarets and a synagogue are solemnly looking at us from above. There should be 16 of them - this is the number of religions.

For a complete understanding of the plan, you need to listen to the words of Ildar Khanov himself, the main architect:

“The Ecumenical Temple was not conceived as a place where people of different religions would pray side by side. People have not yet come to Monotheism. The temple is an architectural symbol of all religions, a museum of religions. Its name: The Ecumenical Temple, an international cultural center for spiritual unity.

In its halls there are premises for a drama theater, for an opera house. There is also a class of philosophical orientation towards the creation of a new ideology. There are plans to build a separate Orthodox church, build and open an orphanage, a home for the elderly and an icon painting school.

I want to create here a children's music school, an observatory, a planetarium, an ecological school (for example, for the biochemical purification of the Volga). There are many plans. And the Tatar-Bashkir cultural center, and sites for the study of Muslim and Orthodox cultures.

The foundation has already been laid for the construction of the "Friendship of Peoples" monument and the "Victims of Human Wars" memorial for the national museum. In the near future I plan to hold international exhibitions here.

That is, the temple can also become a museum of contemporary art. International piano and violin competitions can be held here. That can come true already this year ”.

People can perceive the Ecumenical Temple in different ways. Someone will say that this is a completely unnecessary undertaking. Another will think that the idea of Monotheism and spiritual unity is the way to save the world from ethnic and religious strife. Everyone has the truth.

But like any worldview, these ideas have already found followers. Who knows, maybe in a few decades, Temples of Unity will be erected throughout Russia ...

The doors of the Ecumenical Temple are open to everyone

Not all citizens of Kazan know that on the outskirts of our city in the village of Old Arakchino there is an Ecumenical Temple. Its construction has been going on for many years, and every year the temple becomes more perfect and attractive.

The idea of creating this temple belongs to Ildar Khanov, a resident of the village of Staroye Arakchino, a famous Tatar artist and healer. As Ildar himself says aby, during meditation Jesus came to him and said:

“Ildar! You have a barn where the cows used to sleep, now there are 3 shovels and scrap metal. Today you will get up at 6 in the morning, measure one meter from your father's old house and begin to build the Ecumenical Temple. "

Currently, the temple of unity of all religions - the Ecumenical Temple - attracts the attention of everyone who passes by - on the highway and by rail.

Sixteen domes represent famous religions of the world: Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, religions of China and Japan.

The theme of the unity of religions as a part of world culture determines the design of the interior and exterior of the building.

Construction of Buddhist, Christian, Muslim and Catholic halls is underway very intensively. The place where Ildar Khanov is going to build a synagogue has already been outlined.

Ildar Aby says that he dreams of starting the construction of a 25-meter pool inside a complex of five pyramids (Egyptian, Aztec, Hindu ...). All pyramids and temples will become museums of religions.

In the Catholic Church, as in others, services will not be held, during the day it is planned to work there a sports school of yoga, wushu and other martial arts, and in the evening organ music will sound.

An organ hall is already being built at the same time as the Catholic Church.

In the Ecumenical Temple, a room is almost ready, where an absolutely incredible, according to the author of the project Ildar Khanov, theater of the future will be opened, where everyone - children, adolescents, adults - will be able to pass the first acting tests. A small organ, three pianos have already been purchased. In the future, they will acquire a large telescope, a planetarium will open, and children will begin to study astronomy and study space.

On the banks of the Volga River, Khanov plans to build a Marine School for children and adolescents. The construction project of the Ecumenical Temple provides for the construction of an equestrian school. An art school will be opened in one of the temples. There are highly qualified specialists who share the ideas of Ildar Khanov, eager to work in the Ecumenical Temple, ready to educate not only athletes, musicians, artists, but also conscious, tolerant people.

The doors of the Ecumenical Temple are open to everyone.

In 1994, an unusual by all standards architectural structure began to be built in Kazan - the Temple of All Religions, as its author Ildar Mansaveevich Khanov called it, a man of amazing mental and creative talent, "blessed" in the best sense of the word.

With the help of personal financial investments of the artist, architect, sculptor, poet and public figure Ildar Khanov, an amazing Ecumenical Temple, as well as the International Cultural Center of Spiritual Unity, appeared in his native village of Old Arakchino. This is a relatively modern sight of Kazan, which nevertheless deserves close attention.

The temple of all religions is an architectural symbolic symbiosis of religions, civilizations and cultures. The temple does not act as a cult religious building; church and ritual services are not held here.

The temple is a unique architectural complex in world practice, combining the Orthodox and Catholic churches, a Muslim mosque, a Jewish synagogue, a Buddhist temple, a Chinese pagoda and many iconic elements of various world religions, including the symbols of disappeared civilizations.

The construction of the Temple of All Religions continues to this day. The already open pavilions house an art gallery, an art school and a concert hall, where creative workshops and concert events are held.

Temple of all religions in Kazan

Ildar Khanov, being a highly spiritual person who has comprehended the religious practices of different countries, conceived his Temple of All Religions as a cultural center of Kazan, in which lectures on ancient history could be read, musical performances were played, and puppet shows were staged. The temple of all religions was to become a temporary haven for people recovering from drug addiction or just wanting to overcome this disease.

Unfortunately, Ildar Khanov did not manage to finish his project, as he died on February 9, 2013 after a serious illness. Currently, construction continues with the efforts of his family and associates.

  • The address of the Temple of All Religions is st. Art. Arakchinskaya, 4.

It unites 16 elements of different religions, both modern - for example, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, etc., and disappeared - for example, the ancient Assyrian religion.

It is simply impossible to deny yourself the pleasure of appreciating the art of so many religions, therefore all tourists in Kazan strive to include visiting the sights in their cultural program and enjoy its majestic beauty.

Story

The creator of the extraordinary structure is the architect, artist and esotericist Ildar Manseevich Khanov. The history of the monument began in 1994, when a white-bearded old man appeared to him during meditation and told him to take a shovel and start digging in his yard in his home in the village of Old Arakchino. In the process of digging, the idea of creating a structure appeared. Villagers and strangers began to provide assistance: someone offered the services of a bricklayer, someone bought and brought building materials. During the life of Khanov, the construction of the facility did not stop for a single day. Unfortunately, in 2013, a serious illness claimed the life of the founder, but his work is happily continued by his followers.

Idea

According to Khanov, the new building was supposed to include elements of all major religions. The architect and esotericist strove to demonstrate to all people that God is one and there is no point in waging lengthy disputes over the division of religious views. In his work of construction, many religions are so successfully intertwined, creating a general spiritualized picture that it is already difficult to distinguish between individual elements.

According to the architect's idea, it was planned to build 16 domes and halls in the temple dedicated to different religions, including those that have disappeared:

  • Indian Vedic religion;
  • Taoism;
  • Zen Buddhism;
  • Tibetan religion;
  • Indonesian
  • Egyptian;
  • Maya religion;
  • Iranian;
  • Rosicrucians and Freemasons;
  • Protestantism;
  • Orthodoxy and Catholicism;
  • alien intelligence.

So far in the Temple, only Egyptian and Catholic Halls, Tea Room, Jesus Christ Hall, Theater Hall and Art Gallery... Any tourist wants to get to the Kazan temple of religions in order to enjoy the greatness of the author's architectural ideas and appreciate the idea of equality of all people and religions. It attracts attention from afar with its iridescent design and exquisite mosaic elements, so the area around is always filled with curious travelers.

It was also planned to create a theater, an ecological school, a children's art school, a children's conservatory, a memorial to the fallen, and a rehabilitation center for drug addicts in the religious complex.

The attraction consists of several buildings at once with the presence of a large number of corresponding architectural elements inherent in one or another religious orientation.

The buildings are monumental, cumbersome, fanciful, complemented by numerous stained-glass windows and eternal signs of various religious beliefs. Symbols of Jewish, Christian, Muslim and other religions are found on the domes and walls of the building. The general picture of the building leads to indescribable delight and admiration for the idea of the creator of any tourist. You can spend hours examining all the details of an architectural monument.

Several towers complement each other and were built in turn over the years: some of them still stand without domes, because the construction has not yet been completed. Khanov's followers are actively raising funds to complete the work. If desired, each visitor will be able to contribute to the development of the building and become part of the overall concept.

Inside, the temple of all religions has several beautifully decorated rooms dedicated to different beliefs: Buddha Hall, Egyptian Hall, Catholic Hall, Jesus Christ Hall; there is also a Theater Hall, an art gallery, where exhibitions of artists are held, and a tea room. One of the rooms of Ildar Khanov's home, in which he lived, is also an important part of the monument of religions. After his death, a museum was organized in the room in his honor. Services are not conducted there, and this is not a temple in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a museum of the culture of all mankind.

  • Svyatoslav Roerich, the son of the great artist Nicholas Roerich, took part in the design of the building.
  • The monument is unique in its kind, although the idea of uniting religions is not new and there are museums of religions in many cities of the world. However, in any such museum, religions are nevertheless separated from each other, and the religious complex in the village of Old Arakchino demonstrates their harmonious coexistence.

For believers of different religions and confessions, temples are a place of worship and performance of prayers and rituals. For many centuries, people have built and decorated temples that satisfy not only their spiritual, but also aesthetic needs ...

The main temples of various religions are, as a rule, also outstanding monuments of world architecture; each of them attracts numerous pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.

Jerusalem Temple (Israel)

Believing Jews around the world, according to the canons of Judaism, have only one temple. And that one is virtually nonexistent. Until the 1st century AD, it was located in the center of Jerusalem, on the Temple Mount.

Now on the site of the Jerusalem temple is the Muslim mosque Qubbat al-Sakhra, and the Jewish shrine was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, after which, according to tradition, the Jews scattered all over the world.

However, in memory of the Jerusalem Temple, each synagogue anywhere in the world repeats the structure of the Temple in the basis of its internal structure. Including the oldest one, which, oddly enough, is not in Israel, but in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, and is called the Staronova Synagogue.

St. Peter's Basilica (Vatican)

The main and largest church of all Catholics in the world.

The ceremonial and spiritual center of the Roman Catholic Church. Located in the center of the capital of Italy, on the territory of the world's smallest state - the Vatican.

Outstanding artists and sculptors of the Renaissance - Bernini, Raphael, Michelangelo and others, participated in the creation of St. Peter's Basilica. The dome of the Cathedral is the tallest in the world, 136.6 meters.

Al-Haram Mosque (Saudi Arabia)

The main mosque of all Muslims in the world is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

In the courtyard of the Al-Haram mosque, there is the most revered shrine by Muslims - the sacred Kaaba stone, thanks to which millions of pilgrims from all over the world visit the mosque every year.

The area of the entire temple complex is 357 thousand square meters; up to a million pilgrims can be accommodated here at the same time. The world's largest skyscraper complex, Abraj al-Beit, was built next to the mosque in 2011.

Borobodur (Indonesia)

This gigantic structure is the largest Buddhist temple in the world.

Borobodur is located on the island of Java, Indonesia. It is noteworthy that this stunning temple, built around 800 AD, after a volcanic eruption and a strong earthquake, was abandoned for about 800 years, covered with volcanic dust and overgrown with jungle.

The restoration of the temple began only in 1907. In Barobodur there are more than 500 statues of Buddha and about 1500 stone bas-reliefs with religious subjects.

Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow (Russia)

Full name: Cathedral Cathedral of Christ the Savior. It has the highest status among Russian Orthodox churches - the Patriarchal Compound. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia is the rector of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.

The currently existing temple, built in the 1990s, is an external reconstruction of the temple of the same name, built to us in this place in the center of Moscow in the middle of the 19th century in memory of the war of 1812 and completely destroyed during Stalin's rule in 1931. The building of the temple can accommodate 10,000 people.
