Celandine on alcohol application for acne. Celandine for acne: the effectiveness of treating facial skin

Celandine for acne is considered one of the most popular and frequently used tools. Since ancient times, this herb has been used to treat more than 250 skin diseases, including acne, pimples, and acne. And this is explained by the fact that this remedy acts on the skin like a real antiseptic.

Well, the most popular forms for the treatment of acne with celandine are considered to be juice, infusion, decoction, mask and alcohol tincture. We will talk about all these options in our article.

All the strength of this plant in the fight against skin diseases is due to its composition. These are several types of acids, including malic and citric acid, ascorbic acid, beta-carotene, and alkaloids. It is this composition that allows people with problem skin to use this plant as a healing one.

The main advantage celandine in the fight against acne on the face and on the back is its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect. It helps to disinfect the skin, fights inflammation, and helps to quickly heal all kinds of wounds, scrapes and cuts.

Second equally important property this plant is regenerating. It helps to get rid of post-acne - red spots, scars and marks that often remain on the face and greatly spoil a person's appearance.

Third - strengthening the immune system of the skin, which means that no microbes can cause your disease, including acne.

Fourth - drying. Moreover, celandine does it so gently that there is practically no risk of getting burned.

And, of course, one cannot fail to mention the nutritional, tonic and rejuvenating effect. It turns out that celandine for acne is almost an ideal remedy that helps get rid of acne in the shortest possible time.

How to use celandine for acne

The product must be used very carefully, as it can cause skin burns. After application, be sure to apply a cream on your face.

If you have dry skin, then it is better to refuse such a medicine.

Celandine face mask

This unique and easy-to-use remedy will help to get rid of not only acne, but also spots, marks and scars, that is, from everything that is called post-acne. It can be used both for dry or normal skin, and for oily skin, although for the latter, the option with a cucumber will still be ideal.

To prepare it, you should stock up on:

  • 1 small spoonful of olive oil.
  • 1 chicken egg yolk.
  • 12 drops of celandine juice.

The first is to beat the yolk. The second is to add oil. Third, add the required amount of juice to the mixture. Mix everything and the mask is ready.

Apply on face for 15 - 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

These recipes are considered to be the most effective. They are recommended in the case when cosmetic preparations are powerless. But something similar can be found in the pharmacy.

What is bee celandine

Not so long ago, a new-fangled remedy appeared in pharmacies, which is called "Bee celandine". The price per package is about 200 rubles, but judging by the available reviews, bee celandine practically did not help anyone.

It turns out that this is another extortion with the help of a bright box and huge promises? If you don’t believe it, you can try it yourself, but then be sure to write what came of it.

Contraindications

Celandine for acne, like any other remedy, has its own contraindications. Among them:

  • Chronic dermatitis.
  • Vascular diseases.
  • Wounds.
  • Allergic reaction.
  • Skin infectious diseases.

In some cases, addiction can develop, and then the celandine, which you will use in the treatment of acne, will become completely useless.

In Russia, celandine was nicknamed the warthog, cleanliness, cleanliness, evaluating the effectiveness of its treatment for warts, rashes, dermatitis and other types of skin diseases. This is one of the few folk remedies that is used for almost all types of acne. The versatility of the plant lies in the fact that it can be used both fresh and dried, using plant juice or tinctures and decoctions based on it. The efficiency is not reduced in the least by what type of raw material is preferred.

Fresh celandine juice for acne

Celandine juice is a potent remedy, so it should be used carefully. The method of use is simple: pluck a branch of a plant, lubricate the inflamed area with juice released from the stem. A characteristic orange mark will remain on the skin.

You can get more juice from one branch. To do this, the above-ground part of the celandine is crushed with a knife, the gruel is placed in a glass jar with a tight lid and put into the refrigerator for 3 days. After the expiration date, the juice is squeezed out through cheesecloth. With long-term storage, celandine juice begins to ferment, so use it as soon as possible.

Infusion of celandine

Aqueous infusion of celandine is intended for gentle cleaning of problem areas of the skin, for drying and treating existing ones, preventing the appearance of new acne. It perfectly replaces a tonic, can be used to remove decorative cosmetics from the skin of the face and neck. Recommended for daily use in the care of teenage skin prone to youthful acne.

To prepare an infusion of celandine for acne 2 tbsp. l. dry herbs are poured into 0.5 liters of hot water. Insist under a tight lid for at least half an hour. Strain, apply to skin with a cotton pad. The infusion of celandine quickly deteriorates, so it should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than three days.

Ice cubes with celandine

Inflamed, acne-covered skin of the face, especially in adolescence, does not predispose to washing with ordinary tap water. Cosmetologists recommend, instead of washing, refresh such skin in the morning with ice cubes made from herbal infusion. Celandine in this case is irreplaceable.

The coldness of ice will wake up and refresh the skin, stimulate blood circulation, and reduce sebum production, which leads to clogged pores. The healing properties of celandine will disinfect, soothe inflammation, and prevent the appearance of new formations. To prepare ice cubes for acne from celandine, it is enough to pour the infusion into molds and put it in the freezer.

Steam baths with celandine

These treatments are not suitable for every type of acne. An infection shed from pores under high temperatures can spread to healthy areas of the skin, and the effect will be to increase, rather than reduce, acne. Therefore, before carrying out the procedure, it is advisable to consult a dermatologist.

Pour hot infusion of celandine (40-45 degrees) into a wide container, bend over it not too low, cover your head with a towel. The procedure lasts no more than 20 minutes, for sensitive skin - up to 10 minutes. After the celandine bath, remove the contents from the contaminated pores with a clean cotton swab, wipe the skin with a pore-reducing tonic. Lubricate dry skin after tonic with nourishing cream.

Steam baths are contraindicated for hypertensive patients, people with cardiovascular problems, patients with bronchial asthma. The method is not recommended for pink acne either.

Treatment for pink acne

Pink acne differs from all others in the nature of its appearance. They do not occur as a result of clogged pores, but are the result of dysfunction of blood vessels close to the skin surface. They should be treated by a professional with a medical background. At home, you can only relieve inflammation and irritation. Lotions from the infusion of celandine help well. They not only have an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect, but significantly reduce the localization of redness.

Effective masks with celandine

Masks with celandine are most effective for acne. Long-term stay of the composition relieves inflammation and soothes the skin, disinfects it, cleanses the pores, preventing the appearance of new rashes.

The most common is the oatmeal mask. The antimicrobial and nutritional properties of oats are beneficial for the skin. It is one of the natural biostimulants that rejuvenates, smoothes and heals the skin.

To prepare a mask 1 tbsp. l. Pour oatmeal with a small amount of hot infusion of celandine so that the liquid only covers the flakes. Leave for a few minutes under a tight lid to swell. Apply to face when the mask has cooled to a pleasant temperature. Wash off after 15-20 minutes, cleanse the skin from the remnants of the mask with a tonic or the same infusion of celandine. Apply at least once a week. The mask is suitable for all skin types.

In order not to disrupt the natural processes in the skin of the face, it is necessary to apply any masks no more than three times a week. If you use other cosmetic masks, then for the period of treatment with celandine, abandon them or reconsider their order. It is undesirable to increase the allowable amount of funds.

Celandine ointment

Using celandine for acne in the form of an ointment, you can use all its parts, even the root. Pass the washed and chopped celandine through a meat grinder, mix with baby cream in equal parts. Apply in a thin layer to problem areas of the skin. It is not necessary to prepare the ointment for future use. It is better to mix with the cream in portions, calculating the required amount for one time by eye.

If acne is all over the body

If acne often appears on the back, chest, you can use celandine baths. They dry all pustular formations on the skin, relieve inflammation, and are indispensable in case of a tendency to furunculosis.

Celandine must be crushed, filled with hot water in a proportion of 100 g per 3-5 liters, and infused until it cools. Strain, add to the prepared bath. The resulting infusion is sufficient for a volume of water of 40-50 liters. Take a bath for 15-20 minutes without using soap or other detergents. The course of treatment is 8-12 baths, preferably every other day.

Contraindications to the use of celandine

It is undesirable to use celandine for acne in any form for patients with bronchial asthma and with individual intolerance to herbs.

Celandine, like all alkaloid-containing plants, is poisonous. With increased sensitivity of the skin, it is advisable to abandon treatment with its help or to use only aqueous infusions to minimize alkaloids in the therapeutic agent, which are poorly soluble in water.

Bright green carved leaves, yellow flowers - probably everyone knows celandine. And everyone, one way or another, heard about his outstanding healing abilities. Does celandine help with acne, or what is the secret of the plant

An interesting fact: since ancient times, celandine has been used in the treatment of about 250 skin diseases. The beneficial properties of celandine are directly related to its composition. The main active ingredients of celandine are: alkaloids, succinic, malic and citric acids, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), β-carotene (Vitamin A).

The brightest useful properties of celandine:

You can buy celandine for a penny, or even get it for free - celandine grows in almost every yard.

There is a plant that has been a healthy competitor to celandine for many years. I advise you to read about why the sequence helps with acne on the face no worse than celandine (sometimes even better!).

The use of celandine: acne - out!

First of all, celandine is worth trying for those who do not trust modern medicine and pharmacology, but want to be treated with old, proven, and most importantly safe methods.

There are many options for treating acne with celandine and the choice of method depends, first of all, on your problem.

Here are the best ways to use celandine herb for acne, acne, facial blemishes, wen and hives that you can only find on the Internet.

Celandine juice - there is no simpler remedy for acne!

The most practical method of using celandine for the face. Naturally, we need a fresh plant to get juice.

We carefully cut off the stems, wipe it with a napkin (if you wash it, we will lose some of the nutrients) and pass it through a meat grinder. Smear acne with celandine juice 3 times a day.

It is best to collect celandine during its flowering - this way you can extract the maximum amount of nutrients.

Infusion of celandine for acne

One of the most popular uses for celandine... The way is outrageously simple. Have to take:

  • Dry celandine herb.
  • Water.

In order to prepare an infusion of celandine, you will need 2-3 tbsp. l plant herbs and boiling water (no more than 300-400 ml).

Find a vessel, pour boiling water over celandine, close the vessel and let it infuse for 6-8 hours in a dark place. The resulting infusion of celandine must be filtered with gauze.

The best way to use celandine acne infusion is to wash your face in the morning... From such washes, the skin will become much better in a week.

Celandine decoction

It differs from the preparation of the tincture in that the vessel will need to be kept in boiling water for 5-8 minutes. Decoctions are a rougher way of obtaining nutrients from a plant.

Although decoctions are slower and weaker than infusions, they the action lasts much longer... It is very simple to prepare a decoction of celandine for acne. We take:

  • 3 tbsp. l. herbs of fresh celandine.
  • 500 ml of water.

Pour fresh celandine with water and put on fire. When the broth boils, it must be kept on fire for another 5 minutes. After that, the infusion is allowed to cool and filtered.

Application : moisten sponge with infusion and wipe your face 2-3 times a day for 5 minutes (best before bedtime). In addition, with such an infusion, you can make lotions for the whole night without fear of burns.

The infusion of celandine has a very mild effect on the skin, helping to cleanse it. An excellent replacement for expensive tonics and lotions!

Both the infusion and the broth for acne from celandine are stored in the refrigerator for only 2-3 days. Decoctions and infusions quickly lose their beneficial properties, so they need to be applied as soon as possible.

Alcohol tincture of celandine and cucumbers is the best solution for oily and problem skin!

The best solution for oily and combination skin types... To prepare alcohol tincture of celandine on vodka for acne, you will need:

  • 3 tbsp. l. dry celandine.
  • 250 ml of vodka.
  • 2 medium cucumbers.

It is very simple to prepare the tincture. Pour celandine into the vessel, chop 2 cucumbers there and fill everything with vodka. You need to insist the tincture for at least 14 days.

Application: moisten the sponge and wipe the face very carefully. The main advantage of alcohol tincture is drying of the skin and reduction of sebum secretion.

Be very careful not to cause burns. After applying this tincture, it is recommended to apply a cream according to your skin type.

If you have dry skin type, this tincture can only be used pointwise!

Celandine face mask - the best option for dry and normal skin + from spots, marks and scars

The dosage of celandine juice depends on the sensitivity of your skin. Beat the yolk, add the oil and celandine juice. Mix the resulting mixture thoroughly.

In addition, the mask brightens the skin, which is very necessary in the fight against scars and acne scars.

And now let's see what the pharmacological market offers us, because they could not ignore this miracle plant.

Is bee celandine a panacea? Do not make me laugh!

Recently, the Bee Celandine acne gel appeared on the Russian market. According to their creators, after their remedy, acne and pimples of any severity disappear in 2-3 days.

It is such a statement that is alarming and suggests that the Bee Celandine is just another campaign to lure money out of the pockets of gullible people. The price for a tube of Bee Celandine is about 100-150 rubles.

Having tried it on yourself and after reading the reviews of other people, we can say that although the remedy has a certain positive effect (it can be dealt with with a couple of small pimples), more often than not, people are very disappointed in the remedy.

Bee celandine is not a panacea, so you should not expect strong and radical results. If you still decide to use bee celandine, read the instructions very carefully to avoid serious consequences.

Mountain celandine

Another drugstore, but without promises of instant effect. It is worth noting that Mountain Celandine balm was originally created to combat warts, with which it copes quite effectively.

The price is simply ridiculous - you can buy celandine oil for 45-60 rubles.

Will celandine help from wen?

Celandine also fights against wen, and very well. To treat a wen with celandine, we need its juice (we have already said how to get it)... Dotted we smear a wen with celandine juice.

It is necessary to smear a wen with celandine for a week every day. The result will not be long in coming.

Will celandine cope with urticaria?

Celandine for urticaria has been used for a very long time, it's a pity that old recipes are forgotten over time.

For hives, baths with celandine and other herbs are helpful as an additional treatment.

To do this, you must first prepare a decoction of celandine, sage, chamomile and string according to the same principle as a decoction of celandine (the cooking method was described above). Take a bath with this broth for no more than 15 minutes every two days for 2 weeks.

Contraindications

But it should be remembered that celandine has contraindications. Among them:

Possibilities of a medicinal plant

The antibacterial and antimicrobial activity of celandine is based on the presence of berberine and chelidonine alkaloids in the herb. They have a depressing effect on groups of microorganisms, including E. coli, dysentery bacillus and staphylococcus aureus. In relation to the latter, they act selectively, therefore, the treatment of staphylococcal infections can take place with different indicators of productivity.

For oily skin

The use of celandine in cosmetology is associated, first of all, with its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action. In folk medicine, it is considered a good remedy for oily skin problems.

It is characterized by:

  • large, visible pores;
  • increased sebum secretion, which is manifested by an oily sheen in the forehead, cheeks and chin;
  • blockage of pores, visually noticeable as blackheads;
  • the formation of focal inflammation - acne, the incorrect removal of which leads to the formation of scars and post-acne marks.

In view of the fact that oily skin is prone to inflammation, and celandine for the face against acne reduces these inflammations, it is logical to include the agent in daily care. But with the use of a medicinal herb, as well as with the care of problem skin, not everything is so simple.

It is believed that acne will bother with oily skin. But with proper care, you can minimize the risk of their occurrence.

There are many reasons for the decrease in the activity of local immunity - from hormonal changes to the habit of squeezing out acne with your hands.

Therefore, proper and regular cleansing is the right solution for oily skin care. Washing off the oily secretion daily with the help of a special foam or gel, you reduce the risk of its accumulation and the development of inflammation. You can use celandine for acne as an additional means to reduce the severity of inflammation.

For problem skin

Consult a beautician about the choice of cosmetics for your daily care, or opt for cosmetics from the therapeutic series, which you can buy at the pharmacy. Your basic care should include morning and evening cleansing, toning and moisturizing. With this approach, the condition of the skin will significantly improve, and the rash will be much less disturbing.

For existing rashes, use anti-inflammatory, sebum-regulating agents. At home, you can use celandine, observing the following recommendations.

  • Do not apply pure juice to your skin. “If celandine comes into contact with healthy skin, a burn may occur,” notes dermatovenerologist Tigran Galstyan. "It breaks the integrity of the skin." In such areas, the infection is actively developing, since the local immunity is reduced, microorganisms easily penetrate the epidermis and the underlying layer of the skin. Its areas become inflamed, and in the presence of injured and thinned areas of the epidermis in the immediate vicinity, the infection spreads further. Also, the injured areas are prone to hyperpigmentation. The signs of photoaging and the formation of age spots are especially pronounced under the influence of the sun.
  • Use alcohol solutions pointwise. It is believed that celandine tincture is most effective for rashes and acne. But you can only use it locally, gently applying it with a cotton swab directly to the pimple. Alcohol has a drying effect, and the extract of a medicinal plant inhibits the pathogenic microflora - a source of inflammation and redness. It is absolutely unacceptable to wipe the entire face with such a means. Alcohol disrupts the normal functioning of the skin, literally erases the outer protective cover from it. This provokes increased fat content, as the epidermis tries to restore the protective barrier. At the same time, the skin becomes dehydrated, looks dry, and small wrinkles quickly appear on it. But acne remains, they become more, as the epidermis loses its local immunity and the ability to cope with infection.
  • Do not steam your face or use scrubs. You can often find recommendations for performing steam baths with celandine against acne and acne, after which you need to rub your skin with sea or table salt. Such procedures are a direct path to a total inflammatory process that will affect all areas of the face without exception. In the form of a steam bath, celandine is useless, since its active substances do not come into contact with the skin. At the same time, the process of steaming itself stimulates the spread of infection to healthy areas of the skin, which completes and aggravates the scrubbing with a hard abrasive. Sea salt, sugar and other substances with sharp scrubbing particles cause microscopic damage to the epidermis. They serve as a new gateway for infection and the next foci of inflammation.

On sale are cosmetics based on celandine. In home care for active rashes, you can include "Bee celandine", which contains essential oils, salicylic acid, silver ions. In the complex, the substances have an anti-inflammatory effect and suppress the development of acne, acne.

Rejuvenation agent

“There is a universal recipe for prolonging the youthfulness of the skin, refreshing the complexion,” says cosmetologist Elena Tselkovskaya. - Take a sprig of a plant, fill it with one and a half glasses of water, warm up and boil for about five minutes. Then leave the infusion for an hour, cool. "

According to Elena Tselkovskaya, this recipe can be used to treat skin diseases, including acne, dermatitis. And as a tonic, anti-aging agent.

However, positioning celandine for the face against wrinkles is not entirely correct. An aqueous infusion of a medicinal plant really improves skin health, as it normalizes microflora, eliminates foci of inflammation and prevents the formation of new ones. But it has nothing to do with education or, conversely, reducing wrinkles.

To eliminate wrinkles, regular moisturizing of the skin and procedures that capture the deep layers of the dermis are required. Celandine in any form works only on the surface of the epidermis, and will not help to cope with either mimic wrinkles or traces of skin aging as a result of dehydration.

Fight against age spots

“After using celandine, traumatic skin pigmentation occurs at the site of its impact,” says Inna Voloschenko, chief physician of the Kiev Institute of Beauty. “If a person comes to me for an appointment who tried to get rid of spots on the skin in this way, we send him for a consultation with an oncologist, as in this area the skin has received an extremely serious injury.”

It is unacceptable to use pure celandine juice to combat age spots. They do not remove the problem, but, on the contrary, exacerbate it. The solution to the problem of pigmentation can only be acid-based cosmetic products, while the mechanism of action of this medicinal plant is completely different.

In the form of solutions or celandine oil, the plant does not have a significant effect on the epidermis, does not stimulate the exfoliation of the stratum corneum, in which the natural pigment is retained. Expecting any kind of skin whitening in this case is futile.

  • individual intolerance;
  • chronic dermatitis;
  • infectious skin diseases;

Celandine can cause burns and poisoning if used improperly. Therefore, when treating acne, they need to take the following precautions:

  • consult a doctor beforehand;
  • before use, carry out an allergy test (apply a small amount of the product with celandine on the elbow - if within a day the skin does not react with any undesirable manifestations to such lubrication, you can start treatment);
  • do not allow the product with the plant to get on the mucous membranes;
  • observe the recommended dosages.

Celandine juice can leave yellow or brown spots on the skin, so using it in its pure form is not always suitable for treating acne on the face.

Can the herb be used against acne in children and teens?

Celandine helps to eliminate age-related rashes; for this purpose, it is allowed to use the plant in any of the above ways. However, it should be remembered that often acne in adolescents appears due to hormonal changes in the body, so treatment is not always effective, and the result may be temporary.

To get rid of acne in young children, it is not recommended to use pure celandine juice, the most acceptable option is to use oil.

One of the main advantages of celandine treatment is the absence of contraindications for use, because this is a folk remedy. If you are afraid of various antibiotics, then this remedy is just what you were looking for.

How celandine helps with acne:

The main property of celandine is its cleaning characteristics. What does this mean? Celandine juice slightly poisonous. If you choose a small consistency, this juice becomes a medicine. Celandine cleanses the skin of inflammation, which is its main property in the treatment of acne.

Celandine is used in the treatment of acne in many ways: in the form decoctions, masks or simply wipe the face with juice... Let's dwell on this in more detail.

How to clean your face with juice? You need to pluck the stem of celandine, wipe it (with a cloth or napkin, you can just wash it, but then we will lose some useful properties) and pass it through meat grinder... The resulting juice is used to wipe problem areas. However, I do not recommend treating acne in this way, and here's why:

At first, as mentioned above, celandine is a little poisonous, and if you have thin skin, you can get a sickly burn.

Secondly, from too "nuclear remedy" the skin can begin to peel off, which is also very bad, we talked about this in this thread.

Consider next. We need:

1 Celandine herb... You can buy it at the pharmacy, it is very cheap.

2 Teapot with boiled water.

We pour into the vessel (it can be anything, I used a small glass bottle) celandine leaves ( two tablespoons in half a liter of water), fill with water and let it brew for a day or two. After that, just apply on a cotton pad and wipe your face. An excellent alternative to expensive tonics, and moreover, natural.

I read another use case on the internet before writing this post. The way is risky enoughbut interesting. We do everything as with a decoction, only instead of boiled water we use vodka... It turns out a pretty strong tincture. Use carefully so as not to burn the skin. If you feel that this clearly does not suit you, you better stop experimenting right away!

In acne treatment, it is immensely popular now purchased masks, and yes, celandine masks also exist. Here is one of them, which, at one time, I used myself. You will need:

  • Boiled water
  • Celandine
  • Egg white

How is this mask prepared?

First, we make a decoction of celandine (water + grass), let it brew (but not very much, about 30 minutes). Then we beat the egg white, add honey, and from the broth 1-2 tablespoons of celandine. All this is mixed and applied on the face for 10 minutes. The mask will be quite nutritious and rich in vitamins. And celandine will help dry out existing acne. I used it myself, I recommend it.

Such a mask repeat once a week.

Reviews of celandine for acne:

My acquaintance with celandine began as usual, someone (I can't remember exactly who) highly recommended with this remedy, smear inflamed pimples. And at that time I probably used all the advice, so I really wanted to get rid of this infection. If someone would recommend me a pumice stone, I would probably try to use it :). Thank God we didn't recommend it :).

I went to the pharmacy, bought celandine, boiled a kettle, filled it with water. He let it brew. Then he rubbed his face the color has turned a little greenish... In the morning I was surprised: a little pimples dried out (which were sore). Fine!

I used it for another month, but either skin got used to, or simply celandine stopped helping. By that time, the situation had improved, but then everything returned to normal. I dug up on the Internet the recipe for the mask that I described to you above. I made masks, they helped well, one might even say excellent, but then the skin got used to it again and stopped responding.

Celandine tincture recipe and how it helps below:

The main pros and cons of using celandine:

1 Dries pimples, including those already inflamed.

2 Soothes the skin, thereby preventing the appearance of new blemishes.

3 The product is natural, and with the correct dosage, it is not capable of causing any harm.

1 The skin quickly gets used to it (so it was with me) and ceases to respond to celandine.

2 Paints the skin for a couple of hours, but then it goes away. So it's better not to plan anything after using celandine, but just sit at home.

My conclusion: celandine is an excellent natural remedy that really has a positive effect on the course of acne. However (purely my opinion), celandine alone cannot cure acne... As mentioned at the beginning, if you understand why you have acne and cure the problem from the inside, it will not be difficult for you to get rid of the external manifestations.

Yes, celandine reduces both the size and the redness of acne. But it does not fight the causes of acne, so you are not immune that you will not see a new target for celandine on your face in the morning.
